Meet Jason, in his own words.

Who Jason works best with

Let me save us both some time: I'm for owners who are ready to grow their people as seriously as they grow their numbers. If that's not you, I'm the wrong call.

I work best with owners of $5M–$50M and $100M+ companies who've built something real and have hit the point where grinding harder just stops working. Forty years of leading and twenty of owning taught me one thing cold: businesses almost never stall for lack of effort. They stall because the people and the systems underneath the growth were never built to carry it. You can push harder for a while, you already have. But you cannot out-work a team that isn't set up to win. It doesn't matter how hard you go.

You're Jason's kind of client if:

  • You're scaling a real company, $5M and climbing toward $50M, $100M, and beyond, with a team and real revenue, and the growth has gotten heavier, not easier.
  • You've got good people, and you already know the structure around them isn't keeping up, roles are fuzzy, accountability is soft, and way too much still runs through you.
  • You actually believe what I believe: performance follows people. And you're done paying lip service to it and ready to invest in the folks who carry your company.
  • You want a coach who's carried the weight of ownership himself, not someone reading you theory out of a binder.
How Jason coaches
The way I see it, most coaches pick a lane, they'll fix your systems or they'll fix your people. I do both at once, because that's the only combination that actually holds.

I've always been people-oriented. Long before it was popular to talk about company culture, I was already there, because I figured out early that when you take care of people, when you invest in people, when you create an environment where people feel valued and know exactly what's expected of them, performance follows. Most owners underestimate that. But here's the other half, and I learned it the hard way running my own company for two decades: people-first by itself isn't enough. Layer it on top of the right systems and the right cadence, and you get results that feel almost effortless compared to what your team was grinding through before.

That combination is the whole reason I'm at EXM. I'd spent years doing personal-development work, helping people grow as people, and the moment I looked at what Cullen had built from a methodology standpoint, I thought: this is the vehicle. Because when you take someone committed to growing personally and you marry it with a solid business operating system, repeatable processes, real accountability, that's when real transformation happens. Not a quick win you lose in a quarter. A change that sticks.

The whole model, every coach: every EXM coach works the full 3D Momentum Model: Direction, Design, and Dynamic. Jason goes deepest on the people side: take care of your people, put real structure underneath them, and performance follows.

Jason’s background

I didn't learn this in a classroom. I started as a stock boy, led organizations for four decades, and ran my own company for more than twenty years. I understand the weight of ownership because I've carried it, all of it.

My instincts showed up early. At seven years old I dug a backyard tunnel with friends, ended up with a mountain of leftover dirt, bagged it up, and went door-to-door selling it to the neighbors. The tunnel didn't work out. The lesson did: problems create opportunity for people willing to act. That's been the through-line of everything since.

I started as a stock boy and earned my way up to Regional Manager in that same company. From there I moved through sales management, retail, and banking and financial services, sharpening operational discipline and growth strategy at every stop. I've led sales teams generating more than eight figures a year, rebuilt marketing response systems, and stepped into C-suite operational roles across multiple organizations. Then I launched and led my own firm, business tax credits and property-tax negotiations, and for over twenty years I lived the owner-operator reality: growth, cash flow, team leadership, client service, all of it on me, all at once. And the whole time I kept investing in my own development, because I knew the truth that runs this entire method: the business can only grow as far as I do.

40+ years a business leader, 20+ years a business owner, 10+ years a coach, I've sat on every side of the table, not just the comfortable one.

8-figure sales organizations across multiple C-suite roles, sales management, retail, banking, and financial services.

Founder of my own consulting firm, business tax credits and property-tax negotiations, run as an owner-operator for two decades.

People-first before "culture" was a buzzword, I led with accountability, clarity, and ownership while everyone else was still running top-down, and I built teams that went on to own and run companies across the US.

Joined EXM in 2021, bringing that real operating experience to owners on the Gulf Coast.

Results

Don't take my word for any of it. At EXM, we always create results.

I'd rather you judge me on those than on anything I say about myself. We're not coaching people to have a cool story to tell at their next cocktail party. We're here to get owners real results: volume-wise, profit-wise, and people-wise.

Questions people ask about Jason

Straight answers.

Who does Jason Ambeau work best with?

Owners of $5M–$50M and $100M+ companies who’ve built something real and have hit the point where effort alone stops working. Jason’s specialty is the people and systems underneath the growth, he helps owners invest in their teams and install the structure that lets those teams perform, because performance follows people. Industry matters far less to Jason than whether the owner is ready to grow their people as seriously as their numbers.

Where is Jason based, and who can he coach?

Jason is based in Baton Rouge, LA, and serves clients across the Gulf Coast. Coaching runs on a rhythm that fits a busy owner’s schedule. (⚑ Confirm territory wording, source lists “Serving Clients in the Gulf Coast.”)

What is Jason's coaching style?

People-first and direct. Jason was focused on company culture long before it was popular, because he learned early that when you take care of people, invest in them, and make expectations clear, performance follows. He pairs that with disciplined systems and follow-through, he’s known for relentless execution, so the care never turns into chaos.

What framework does Jason use?

EXM’s 3D Momentum Model, a triangle of Direction, Design, and Dynamic that all have to hold. Jason is strongest on the Dynamic side (the people and the leader at the center) and the Design side (systems, rhythm, repeatable processes). Inside that model, he pays close attention to people, purpose, process, and performance. His starting belief: a business doesn’t have problems; it has people, and people have problems, so People comes first and Performance is the result.

What happens on the first call?

A straight, no-pressure conversation about where your business is, where you want to take it, and whether Jason is the right coach for the job. If he’s not a fit, he’ll tell you. If he is, he’ll walk you through how he’d approach your situation, starting with the 3D Diagnostic.

What makes Jason different from another business coach?

He’s carried the weight he coaches on: 40+ years leading organizations, 20+ years as an owner-operator running his own firm, and C-suite roles across sales, retail, banking, and finance. So when he helps you build people and systems, it’s from having done it himself, not from a binder. As he puts it, the goal isn’t a cool story for a cocktail party; it’s real results, volume-wise, profit-wise, and people-wise.

If any of this is hitting close to home, let's talk.

The owners Jason works with are usually doing the work only they can do, because the business still runs straight through them. That's the real ceiling, and it does not break by working harder.
